You don't need followers. You have five.
Everyone is a real-life influencer. No account needed, no feed, no filter, no perfect picture. The people around you already notice how you live: how you rest, how you listen, how you talk about your work. That is influence, the quiet kind. Real life is the best feed.
Self first, then your five
It starts with you, like the oxygen mask on a plane: you help best when you can breathe yourself. Then, almost by itself, you start to pass things on. A sentence that helped you, two minutes of breathing before a hard call, a good question at dinner. Not to change anyone. Just because you thought of them.
Live it first.
People notice what you do far more than what you say.
A walk without your phone, an early night, a calm answer in a tense meeting. Nobody needs to watch you. The people close to you see it anyway, and sometimes that is all it takes.
Notice who comes to mind.
That moment is the whole idea.
A sentence, a song or a breathing exercise makes you think of someone. Most of the time we let that moment pass. A short message is enough: thought of you.
Share a thought, not a task.
Because you thought of them, not to change them.
No homework, no "you should", no follow-up. Wishing someone well is something different from wanting to shape them. What they do with it is theirs.
Their pace, their way.
Self first works for everyone, not only for you.
Everyone walks in their own direction, at their own speed. What helped you may help them next year, or never. Both are fine.
Be easy to reach.
Sometimes the best thing you pass on is your time.
A call on the way home, a coffee, really listening without fixing. Real life is the best feed, and you are part of someone's.
Who came to mind while you read this? Why not let them know?
This week's question
Who's on your mind this week?
Your five
Five people you want to think of a little more often. Family, friends, a colleague, someone you miss. The names stay in this browser only, nobody else sees them.
- Your five appear here.
A quiet question, once a week.
Your calendar asks you who is on your mind. No task, no streak. One tap opens your five.
